Always confirm the correct Product Name for the NBN service to determine the appropriate connection type, if it's PPPoe or IPOe set up.

Accessing the Emulator

Configuration for PPPoE
  1. Switch to Wireless Router Mode
    • Go to the Advanced tab.
    • On the left-hand side, select Operation Mode.
    • Choose Wireless Router Mode and click Save.
    • The modem will reboot automatically. Wait until it reconnects before accessing the modem page again.
  2. Set Up PPPoE Internet Connection
    • Go to the Advanced tab, and on the left-hand side, select Network.
    • Under Network, choose Internet.
    • On the upper right-hand side, click Delete All.
      • A pop-up will appear asking, “Would you like to delete the interface?” Click Yes to confirm.
    • Click Add(next to the Delete All option).
      • Ensure VLAN is unticked or disabled.
      • Select PPPoE under Internet Connection Type.
      • Enter the UsernamePassword, and Confirm Passwordfields.
        • For SAM customers, find these under NBN Information.
        • For Kinetix customers, click View Radius User Status and look for the PPP Authentication tab.
    • Click Save.
    • The modem should now connect online.

Configuration for IPoE
If the NBN service is set to IPoE but doesn’t connect automatically, follow these steps:
Step 1: Reboot Devices
  • Turn the modem and NBN box off and on.
  • If a reboot doesn’t work, perform a hard reset:
    • Use a pin to press and hold the reset button inside the reset hole of the modem for 10 seconds.
    • Wait for the lights to flicker and turn off, then reconnect (this may take 2–3 minutes).
Step 2: Update Modem Settings
  1. Go to the Advanced tab.
  2. On the left-hand side, select Operation Mode.
  3. On the upper right-hand side, click Delete All.
    • Confirm by clicking Yes in the pop-up.
  4. Ensure VLAN is unticked or disabled.
  5. Select Dynamic IP under Internet Connection Type.
  6. Scroll down and click Save.
    • The modem should now go online.
